Plugging Rantbox
I remember the days when people weren’t afraid to put their faces up on the webcam. And by “people” I mean Mal Lee. Now that those days are over, we can reflect back together on the good times. Together, and with pants on and a tear in our eye, we wipe the monitor clean: this site is porn free.
As a spectator, I read Mal’s posts and admired her intelligence, wit, and bravura. I’ll be the first one to admit, I glanced at the cam images from time to time and thought “not bad.” Not bad at all. But the most amusing facet of this East Coast portal was its reality. Self-professed as not the best-looking girl out there, Mal really wasn’t (or isn’t?), and though that sounds harsh, that’s what made it for me. Mal’s pictorial brought a true to life feel - that you really were peeking into the bedroom of a girl reminiscent of one you have seen in your own, or had the REAL (not virtual) potential to in the future. I admired that, the daring, and the willingness to sell sex, if the only thing she was selling was the exchange of ideas. People came together, slightly aroused but open to discussion on a broad range of issues often not concerning “broads.” And no, I don’t mean literally “came” together, but who knows?
Today the visual representation of her bare-all attitude has been squelched by professionalism. But we still have the person, the wit, the bravura, and the fun, embodied in words that will drift forever in the information exchange known as the internet. Mal may be dressed, but Rantbox lives on.
