Tip: Shopping at Times Square is a bad idea. It is constantly filled with stores and vendors that are going out of buisness. Your best bet is to go to Chinatown or the village and find all the souvenirs you want at much cheaper prices.

Upstate NY

Woodbury Commons - one hour away from the city, an outlet center outside. Tons of last year's designer clothes for dirt cheap. Worth going!
